Let's talk Canadian schools

With ED decisions coming out and RD decision deadline approaching..I found myself behind on researching Canadian schools. The deadline for Canadian schools is also approaching so I thought it'd be nice to hear everyone's Canadian plans..(hopefully find some useful info too :P).

So, Which schools are you applying?
What program?
WHY?

Definitely:
Queen’s Commerce (applied)
UWO BMOS + Ivey AEO
UBC Commerce

Maybe:
UofT
McGill
York

& also UNBC (applied/accepted), but I’m not going!

Mostly because they are great in business or are overall great universities.
UBC <3 because it’s close to home!

I believe we have similar tastes, Fatum? :)

UofT
McGill
Western
Queen’s

But the only two that I am seriously considering of going to if I get accepted are UofT(SG) or McGill. But since the OUAC application lets you choose two more, I was thought, “What the heck. I’m paying 120$ so I might as well apply.”

And I’m applying for International Relations/General Arts/Humanities/Social Sciences depending on each university and what they offer.

McGill, U of T, UBC, Queen’s, and SFU for Linguistics/computer science/cognitive science. I’m thinking either McGill or Queen’s at the moment.

Haha yeah Starsaligned!
I’m thinking…Ivey, Schulich, Rotman, Queens…however that’s just because they are the best business programs in Canada…NO IDEA at all where I actually want to go to.
Do you guys think McGill is good for business?
And…do you think I need safety schools…? I mean those 4 have like less than 20% acceptance rate…

McGill, McMaster, UofT, Queen’s, Western for Canada :)

Western & Mac.

McGill, Toronto, Queens, UBC, Calgary, Alberta

McGill is meh for business. Most people only go to Desautels because McGill as a whole is well-reputed.

Ahh IAmPos that’s what I thought! Everyone was like McGill is the “canadian harvard”…
rainbow viggy nosike why did you guys choose those schools?

I’d be a premed, so the reputation doesn’t mean much to me. Plus, I like Western and McMaster and the programs they offer. I feel that they offer good balances between name, competition, and academics.

If you’re considering McGill, you might as well check out Dalhousie University as well!
[Dalhousie University - Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada - Dalhousie University](http://www.dal.ca)
I’m not sure of their acceptance rate, but I remember knowing a lot of people in my first year who were Valedictorians of their rural high schools.

Waterloo Pure Mathematics

Anyone applying McMaster health sci?

@lindazhaang dang, good luck with that, it’s ridiculously hard to get into haha. Only 1 of my friends got in last year, and at least 15 or 16 applied. Hope you make it.

Mac Health Sci is probably the most competitive undergrad program in Canada. Good luck, indeed.

Hey guys, any opinions on Schulich BBA vs. iBBA? I don’t know which one to choose!

Which university is great for Business and Mathematics? I am looking at UBC but I want a backup school as well.

I’m so sick of essay writing after applying to the States that I refused to apply to any programs that required any sort of supplements…well except UofT I picked Victoria College, so I have to write something for that. =___=
I applied to McGill Arts&Sci and science (but I don’t even think I can get a 90s avg, let alone 91.xxx… = =). For OUAC, I picked UofT (life sci), Ryerson (fashion), and a couple of other schools just to make my parents happy. But honestly these 3 schools are the only ones I actually would like to go to.

^^ It is not a backup school - I hear the program is quite competitive - but you might be interested in [Programs | Mathematics/Business Programs](http://www.mathbus.uwaterloo.ca/programs/double_degree.html)
