I agree with noimagination; that’s a great program. Quite a few of my friends are currently studying there.

I’m sorry that:
- the list isn’t in alphabetical order
- the schools are mostly from Ontario
- I probably missed some majors!

Generally, top Canadian schools are: McGill, U of T, Queen’s, Western, Waterloo, UBC (please don’t get mad if the school you love isn’t here… this is just based on what I’ve heard)

I think great “safeties” are: Guelph, U of Ottawa, Trent, York, Ryerson

^ Good list except for, as you mentioned, it’s Ontario-biased. Throw UBC and McGill onto a few more of those and it’s set.

so can someone please throw UBC and McGill onto a few more of those…?

To be honest, for BAs it doesn’t really matter where you go as most programs are the same. BComms, BScs, and BEngs vary more.

Maybe:
McGill - Sociology/Journalism
UWO - Journalism/International Relations
U of T - Arts
UBC - Theatre/Anthropology

My list is slightly unfocused, but that’s my “maybe” plan. If I was accepted where ever I applied to, then I would most likely (99%) go to my first choice universities down in the states! And I also know that UBC is really developing fast in business area, not that it isn’t good already!

I’ve been offered BA econs. course from McGill and U.British Columbia, which uni. is a better choice for me, an Asian international student?
