I am half Mexican and am interested in applying to Brown, today i got a letter from them in the mail dated august 4th. the letter said “Brown remains a place of oppurtunity for talented and deserving students from all backgrounds and all cultures. That is why I am writing to you today. Your record of accomplishment to date convinces us that you have the talent and initiative to be a very strong candidate for admission here at Brown.” I have learned to phase out college junk mail and understand that usually they just want you application money. but, am i wrong or does this seem a little different? ive never had one say that i am a very strong candidate for admission before. did anyone else get this letter?am I getting my hopes up? (lol probably)

I got it too after i did my PSAT lol … I think all my friends did too ( they scored 150-170 on the PSAT)
But still why not just apply anyway

I got that too.

beazy. lol o well

What the heck. I got 230 on the PSAT a year ago and I didn’t get any of that stuff before I applied.

Had to request my viewbooks. Grumble, grumble.

haha i never even got my viewbooks
maybe the letter’s new this year since i didn’t hear anything about it last year
