^^ what's even funnier, is that my D is still getting mail from U's that 3 yrs. ago knew she was a high school senior, & who rec'd at that time her SAT scores. (So they think she's taking three gap years in a row?) Hmmm.

My d. took the GREs on Friday, and is still getting letters and viewbooks from Reed.

but (continuing the oneupsmanship ;)), is your D still getting letters from Reed asking where the next part of her application is? ('Thank you for your scores; we need the rest of the application to make your file complete.') Gee, nice to know they're keeping their application round open on a 3-yr time frame, just for her.
^^That's Tufts, btw.

My son received a phone call from Harvard too.

Here's an article from Business Week putting Harvard's recruiting efforts into context:

There are more articles about this to be found in the Harvard Crimson, the Harvard Independent, and the Boston Globe.

ONLY a score in the 2200s?
My goodness. Put it in perspective.

Well his score was 2200, which is excellent but like I said, we know others who have higher scores who didnt receive it so I wonder whether it was the fact that his SAT1 and SAT2 Maths scores were almost perfect that did it.

Thanks for posting the Business Week article - most illuminating and now puts everything into perspective.

I only got similar letters after my SAT II scores came in, all of which were above 750.
