<p>I know someone today who got a letter from the University of Maryland today informing them about some sort of financial aid forum that was going on at UMD. </p>
<p>Did anyone else get one? Or do they only give them out to those who indicated they were going to be applying for financial aid?</p>
<p>Yes I received one. It was inviting me to a Merit/Need aid Info meeting on Feb 8th I believe. I didn’t indicate anything, so I would think that they gave it out to everyone who applied, but idk.</p>

<p>or perhaps I’m over thinking it and all priority applicants get one, but I just have yet to get one. Gah.</p>
<p>Maybe it’s just for in-state applicants? I applied for the priority deadline but I didn’t receive a letter. Then again, I doubt they’d expect my family to come all the way from NJ for a financial aid seminar.</p>
<p>My D is from Long Island, applied early and did not get the letter. Did anyone OOS get one?</p>

<p>I have a feeling that it might be sent out alphabetically too; the person who I know who got it last name starts with a B, mines closer to the other end of the spectrum. I talked to a bunch of other people I know who applied whos last names are farther out too and they didnt get anything either. PHEW.</p>
