letter grades for michigan

I know C's junior year (or any year for that matter) are bad, but how much does the actual letter grade matter? For example, if my UW GPA is a 3.6 (all A's and 2 C's) how bad will this look for UofM?

Basically my question is, if I have a decent overall GPA, but there are C's on my app junior year, will this hurt me alot or will michigan look mostly at the overall GPA?

What are your SAT's/ACT's?

34 ACT though

depends what you got Cs in...were they challenging classes? Because then they would not look as bad. I think both matter: overall and grades..they look at everything.

I think Michigan is still a match for you.

All that and low-income? You have a great chance at better schools than Michigan.

I had C's on my report card, and I got in with a lower ACT than you.

Michigan is your dream school, you have strong test scores and a slightly below average GPA but a very respectable and challenging course load, AP-heavy in content. Apply as early as possible and I'd say Michigan is a safe match for you.
