Letter of Deferral

Anybody kept a copy of the letter of deferral for the 2010-2011 ED? I got deferred ED I, and sadly I did not save that letter. Now it's no longer available, and I can't recall what it said...

Somebody help? (:| )

Since no one else has stepped to the plate, I am going to assume it said something like, you will either a yes or a no come regular decision. Waiting is hard, no doubt. But sit tight. It’s almost over!!

During the past weeks, the Middlebury Admissions Committee has spent much time and effort reviewing hundreds of Early Decision applications. I am writing to inform you that we have decided to defer final action on your application until the regular admissions process in the spring.

This year’s review process evaluated the most competitive group of ED candidates ever to apply to Middlebury. While we cannot predict at this point if we will be able to offer you a positive decision in the spring, please know that your application will be fully reconsidered in the group of regular applicants during the regular admissions process.

As the year progresses, you should feel free to send us any new information that may help us in our evaluation of your candidacy. Also, please remind your guidance counselor to send us an updated senior transcript after mid-year.

Please know that we very much appreciate your interest in Middlebury and that your application will continue to receive our most serious consideration.

If we can be of assistance in the months to come, please do not hesitate to contact us.

lol, you’re right, Modadunn. The wait is almost over :)

Thank you, xc2010. This is really helpful!
