Letter of Rec problem!

Does it matter what subject recommendation I get? I want to study engineering but my physics teacher is reluctant to. This is why: I was his best student and he saw every other student wasn't doing well so he told two of us who are good in physics to help others in the exam hall. We refused because this was cheating so he called me self-centered and is very reluctant to give me letter of rec.I don't want to force him because if I do the letter won't be from his heart. However my English and Math teachers are very willing to, will this reduce my chances for engineering? I'm looking at Ivies and some other top schools. I also have one more problem, how do I get them to send the letters? Is it on common app or to the school itself or I don't know?

Math is fine for engineering. If the teacher doesn’t want to write a rec, it won’t be a good rec. Go with math. English will also be fine; they don’t both need to be related to your major.

They can submit them online using the Common App or by mail. Up to the teacher.

Thanks but will it be in my common app account or in the school’s mail?

If they do it online, you invite them through your Common App account and then assign the recommendation(s) to each school you’re applying to. If they do it by mail, it will be done by mail.

It’s all good. Don’t worry
