<p>I'm pretty sure this is ok, but just double checking: Both of my letter of rec teachers are mailing in the letters right around now to the schools I'm applying to, even though I probably won't send in the rest of my app (electronically via CommonApp) till around December. Is this ok, or will colleges throw the letters away?</p>
<p>Not to worry. They open a file when the first thing shows up. Do you seriously think they’d toss a rec in the trash?</p>
<p>It’s fine lots of pieces of information show up at disparate times … the main application, multiple recommendations, SAT scores, ACT scores, Subject Test scores, interview reports, etc. Schools create files for applicants whenever the first thing shows up and then add things as they arrive over time.</p>
