Hello all,

My question is with regards to letter of recommendation. Some schools want a third letter that is not academic in any way. My state representative wanted to write one for me. I think she would write an AMAZING letter about me, it would be very original, reflective of me, but there is only one fear. She is a republican. Will admissions officials at schools like stanford, upenn, or uchicago have a problem with this? The only way they would know shes a republican is if they look her up.

I worked for her campaign and have helped with a lot of political work. That is how we met and such.

Because she’s a Republican? No. But the LoR must speak about you and your qualities and accomplishments, ad opposed to a puff piece.
