<p>Maybe. A family friend of mine (now a junior in CALS) applied ED and was deferred. My uncle, a Cornell alum, wrote a letter of recommendation for her and she was accepted in the RD round. Can’t really say how much the letter actually helped, but I’m sure it didn’t hurt.</p>
