I am an inter-UC transfer from UCSC admitted to UCB under the College of Letters and Science. I am currently taking my last quarter at UCSC, however, I am concurrently enrolling in my last GE class at a community college for the letter of reciprocity. I have always taken a cc course every quarter to transfer over to take 20 units per quarter. However, I came to realized that my spring quarter at cc ends 2 weeks after my UCSC spring term. I had talked to my college advisor at UCSC beforehand and she said she wouldn’t see anything wrong with my process, that’s why I had taken it at cc. I emailed my office of registrar recently and they said that because my community college work falls out of my time here, I will not be able to receive my letter of reciprocity. What must I do now, I truly want to transfer out. Will UCB rescind my admission?
I don’t know what a letter of reciprocity is.
But your college advisor says it’s fine and Berkeley doesn’t normally rescind admissions. And they’re extra lenient these days with Covid.
