Hello,

I am a recent graduate and I am concerning about LORs since I was a transfer student, I didnt have enough time to build a close relationship with professors plus I graduated in four quarters.....

What are my option??

Did you participate in any research/internships/volunteer work, etc?

If you did, those are applicable areas and you can use that for LORs. If you absolutely have no professors to ask for a recommendation you could enroll as a non-degree seeking student (check with your program that you are interested in) and take courses. If you prove yourself in a non-degree grad level class you will meet relevant faculty who can provide you with recommendations. I just went to a grad school fair because I encountered a similar problem (changed my major spring of junior year). I have 2 letters of rec but needed one more. The representative from my program suggested doing the non-degree option to get my foot in the door. You can always contact the program coordinator/department you are interested in and ask them about potential applicants and ways to improve the weaker points on your application.

Hope this helps!

good luck.

Thank you for the reply.
I did research and have two professors to ask for LOR. However, one left to Europe and the other one cant write me a strong letter because he is in different dept.

I studied economics(top4%) at Top UC but wanna get into either stat or finance master…
