So my dad knows a former president of all the UC schools. He is allowed to write 1 letter of recommendation per YEAR and is going to write me one! I have like a B average and a 31 ACT and was wondering what my chances are for any UC schools with that letter... The guy is a billionaire and considering he is so well known by the schools, can they really turn down his only letter of recommendation of the year?
Thanks in advance for your replies!

Which UC do you want to attend?

Idk I wouldn’t mind any of them haha how about UCSD? UCB? UCI?

Does the LOR get you into any UC of your choice? What will be your major?

No it doesn’t it’s just a letter of recommendation I just wanted to know how much of an impact it has towards me getting in

I thought UC’s did not accept letters of rec at all…

Maybe they bend the rules for him.

Wow that’s really neat…if he wrote a letter for you I don’t see how you can be rejected.
