my guidance counselor said i should get a letter of rec from my math teacher and my science teacher...
if i am planning on becoming a science major in college, is it pretty helpful for my to get one from my math and science teacher?

does it make a difference if i just get them from my english teacher and chemistry teacher??
or my math teacher who taught me for 2 years, but i kinda slacked in that class and my chemistry teacher?

inputs?

thanks

Generally you want to have one math/science rec and one humanities rec.

Regardless though, pick the two teachers who can attest to your skills and personality the best. (bigger than grades) work ethic, selflessness, attitude.

If the words that come from your math teacher are lazy and apathetic… That’s a big no.

Sheesh. If you want to be a STEM kid, get at least one great rec from a STEM teacher. Because adcoms want to se what a STEM teacher thinks of you. But, bottom line, go read the colleges’ web info. Because, some do insist one be humanities.

sorry but what does “STEM” stand for?
haha sorry.

Science, technology, engineering and math.
