Letter of Recommendation Question

<p>I have a question regarding letters of recommendation.</p>

<p>I sent a request for letters from both my counselor and a teacher and assigned them properly on the common app. When I went to confirm that they'd received emails from the common app, both said that they hadn't received anything. This worries me a bit, since it's been a couple weeks since I invited them.</p>

<p>Can I just have them submit the letters in paper? I plan on giving them pre-addressed envelopes. Is there anything special they need to fill out online? Will it still let me submit the common app even if they haven't filled out the letters digitally? It's just really frustrating that I can't make the technology work. Thank you!</p>

This happened to me as well; what you have to do is go to the Common App website, go to the school(s) you’re applying to, then go to recommenders, and then click on “Manage Recommenders” and then refresh the recommenders (to do so, you click on the little arrow icon that’s circling on itself, located between where it reads “Invited” and the trash can icon! </p>
