<p>If I plan on applying to Cornell in the future, do you think that having a letter of recommendation from a teacher who actually graduated from the University would be better than another letter? Also do you think it would matter if that teacher who attended Cornell was from my Sophomore year? Thanks!</p>
<p>I don’t think that’s what you should go off of! It’s more important to get recs from teachers you have a good relationship with rather than just because they went to cornell–*I don’t think it would provide any real benefit. Then again, I’m just a high school senior, so I really can’t definitely say!</p>

<p>Thanks! Just to clarify I would have had him write my letter regardless, I was just wondering if it would help at all. And it’s a relief to know that it does not matter that it was from 10th grade!</p>
<p>No it really wouldn’t help. Get recommendation letters from teachers who know you best and know would put in a very good word for you and not necessarily the teachers whose classes you got the best grade in.</p>
