How much does it affect your application negatively if your two letters of rec are from the same subject teachers?

anyone??? bump......

I'm wondering the same thing...

If possible, it's probably best to have teachers from two different subjects. I'm in the same boat as you, I suspect, at least as far as wanting to ask for recs from teachers in the same subject...I'm homeschooled and have taken a number of science and math courses at a community college. I don't know either of my math instructors that well, but I'd have a hard time picking just two science instructors to ask! In my case, a lot of colleges are reasonably understanding, but I guess it depends on your individual situation. HTH

Does anyone know how much it actually matters? bump?

It depends on the school you're applying to. Some schools specify that they must be from different subjects...some schools want one humanities and one mathish.
Some schools request one from a language teacer, etc. It all depends on the school so you should research that thoroughly.
