I’m applying as a transfer student to Wesleyan from a peer institution. Wesleyan is definitely my top choice for a transfer and although I’ve demonstrated interest in all the appropriate ways – tour, interview, etc. – I want to make sure admissions is aware of exactly how seriously I am thinking about Wesleyan, as I think with a school like this, that makes a difference.
Would it be okay to write an letter to admissions to include in my file explaining that Wesleyan is my top choice and I would definitely attend if admitted? I know that’s the kind of letter everyone usually sends after being waitlisted, but I was wondering if it would be appropriate to kind of…preempt the waitlist, so to speak?
