Letter to an office of admission...

Hi.

I was academically dismissed from my school recently and applied for community college shortly after.

I am hoping that I could apply for readmission after studying at community college for a semester.

The thing is, I wrote a letter to the office of admissions of the community college I applied.

I briefly explained my situation, reasons for applying and finished a letter with

“I am strongly hoping to continue my academic career at xxxx college”

Now that I think about this sentence, it feels kind of arrogant for some reason.

Should I have been more polite?

It would be really nice if anyone could share his/her opinion.

Thank you for reading.

Why did you write a letter to the office of admissions of a community college? Did you not think you would be accepted to community college?

If it’s already been mailed, then it doesn’t matter… the chips will fall where they will.

I think CC’s take most anyone…and they expect that you will transfer to a 4 year college after 1-2 years.
