I want to transfer schools but you have to write a letter to the school supervisor and she has to approve the transfer depending on the reasons you want to transfer and they have to be really good. So I revised the letter I was going to write. Can you guys give tell me if its okay?

Dear field office supervisor,

I would like to transfer schools this year from Churchill High School to my old school, Sherwood High School. I am new to Churchill this year because i moved last summer, and I'm not adjusting very well. I feel that I will do better academically and emotionally if I transfer back to Sherwood. I do not feel comfortable in the environment at Churchill, and it's hard for me to adapt to it. Also, I was familiar with the type of work at Sherwood, but the work is different at Churchill. Furthermore, I feel that I will be happier at Sherwood High School, which will result in my grades improving, whereas at Churchill I am unhappy, which will cause my grades to drop. Moreover, I am interested in participating in Leo's club at Sherwood because the club does not exist at Churchill. It is my best interest to switch schools, and i hope you feel the same way. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Any suggestions on how I can improve this letter or is it fine?

I wanted to switch schools a few years back, and even my parents wrote letters about how unhappy I was and everything. It wasn't enough. You need to give solid reasons besides that you don't like it. Did you mention grades slipping? Better educational experience? Etc. I even mentioned stuff like this, and I wasn't allowed.

I don't get what you want us to tell you. It's YOUR letter to transfer, you're the only one who knows your reasons. It's not likely others here have had experience with this, and we don't know your school district.

It's slightly unprofessional, and you repeat yourself (over and over).

You need to give better reasons than that, and perhaps you could get your parents to call. Also, you need to mention why you left Sherwood in the first place. Why did you leave? Why do you want to return? Your reasons are weak and you have nothing concrete to talk about.
