Did anyone get a letter from the dean, saying that you have been identified by the collegeboard as one of the most promising high school juniors in america. it goes on and gives you a ID number and it says at the end...you will receive info, an application, and perhaps eventually, an inviataion to join the Trojan family. Is this junk mail or what?

invitations*

Ya did u identify USC as one of the score recipients of your SAT or PSAT scores? If so, then you will most likely get one, its more advertising for their school, I got one my junior year too.

I did not identify them as a score recipient. I did not send any scores to anyone.

You probably checked a box when you took the psat and/or sat. By checking the box, they release your name to various colleges.

Try not to read into it too much, I know alot of people my junior year who got that as well. They send it to all who are interested in their school.

I was not inerested in their school..

If you dont want to go to USC, then ignore the letter. If you are interested in USC, then apply... ..

I meant like..I did not sign up for anything/send them score reports and all

don't worry about it- i did well on my PSAT junior year, and my mailbox was flooded with letters like the one you just described... i think i actually received that one from USC too! : )

(and i didn't sign up for anything/score reports either)

thanks guys..

Ya I got two shopping bags full of letters. It's a standard letter that schools send out to attract students.

I have two boxes of letters, none of which I have read :-) I'll save them until I become famous and then sell them on ebay.
