I am going out of town on Thursday and will be in a very different time zone than home. To avoid any mixups with my October 15th early action deadlines, I had planned to submit my applications to those schools before I leave. However, one of my letters of recommendation has not come through. I asked her to write it at the end of August and asked that she finish it by October 4th. In the event that she does not submit it by then, can I submit the applications without the letter being there? Or should I wait a few more days? If I submit it before, will it show up after she finishes it?
Yes, you can submit the rest of your application before you have the LOR. You may want to ask your guidance counselor to make sure that it gets submitted ahead of the deadline in case she doesn’t have it done tomorrow.
