So recently I've been thinking about which teacher to use as a letter of rec. I'm deciding between my chem and math teacher. For ap chem I was top in my class and always aced the tests, whereas in honors math I wasn't the top and worked really hard to get a good grade. So basically, should I use my chem teacher who would highlight my "chem-oriented mind" or my math teacher who can highlight my strong will and perseverance?? (Also I'm interested in going into chem possibly...) thanks for the advice!

It’s fairly common to have two recs…my D sent two teacher recs and one counselor rec to each school…so you should be fine asking both. That way all your strengths will be highlighted.

My other letter is bein written by a ap euro teacher who knows me on a personal level

Pick the teacher who knows you best, regardless of subject matter or inteded major. It is better to have intimate anecdotes than broad statements related to course material.

Think of it this way, your teachers have already commented on your academic ability and mastery of their course - it is called a final grade. Adcoms want more than this.
