Letters of Recommendation for Common App

<p>My D is applying to around 10 schools, 5 - 6 using the common app. She sent the letter of recommendation request to her two teachers and her counselor. Her counselor chose the option to complete paper forms only, so does she have to use the common app recommendation forms?. One teacher wrote up official letters on school letterhead, made 10 copies, and gave them to my daughter. The other teacher says he has never done this electronically, always on paper. I would imagine he gets asked a lot for recommendations since he is a highly regarded AP teacher. Is it ok for my daughter to mail in these paper letters for schools she applies to via the common app? </p>

<p>Another question, she received several priority apps for a few schools to fill out at no cost. Several of them said for the GC only to complete a recommendation. Should D send in letters of recommendation from those teachers also, even though the school says they are not needed? I wanted her to send them in since she already has them and they are glowing.</p>

<p>Your teachers can send the letters of rec with the Common App form (it says so on the form proper), but I’d think that they want the actual forms too. It does ask for some additional information. (Have you looked at them?)</p>

<p>I have looked at them. The teachers seem to want to do the recommendations the way they want.</p>
