I've always had two different science teachers write my letters of recommendation so I asked them to for Harvard and they both agreed, but I just read that Harvard wants two from different subjects so my Math teacher agreed to write one, but will three look excessive? Should I remove one of my science teacher's letters? Am I just over thinking this? hahah

Before you press send for Harvard, you will be able to pick and choose which recommenders to include, include the humanities and one science. No need to remove the other. Keep it on hand in case you decide to send it to another university.

i highly recommend only sending two. especially if some info could be redundant since two of the letters are both from a science class. the less materials you give them, the better. Only send extra if it pushes you over the edge. Otherwise, with the amount of applications they read, it’s just an obnoxious waste of time.

2 or 3 recs are fine. My one son sent 2 and the other sent 4. Both were accepted and I highly doubt it had to do with the number of references sent. You just want to make sure each reference has something unique to share.
