Letters of Recommendation?

So on the common app, I was planning on asking for 2 teachers for recommendations for a specific college…

I was wondering, once they submit their recommendations, will I be able to use those same recommendations for other colleges that require them as well? Or do I need to ask the teacher for a new recommendation each time I want to apply for a different college?

I’m not really sure how this works, any help would really be appreciated!

You can request a college specific letter of recommendation but what is more common is one letter that works for all colleges
