Anyone know professors in L&S who are most likely to give letters of rec? I'm not a office hour fanatic so I'm not familiar with a lot of professors :( but i need letters fast!

Ask an instructor of a class you did well in

… professors in L&S? Out of all the departments? I don’t think I know of a single one that will write you a letter if you’ve never taken a class from them.

Do as monteleone says. If you don’t think they’ll remember you, bring a paper you were marked well on and bring that up.

Here’s some info from the career center about approaching potential letter writers:

[Career Center - Graduate School - Letters of Recommendation](http://career.berkeley.edu/grad/GradLetter.stm#1)

berkeley does not accept letters of recommendation. sorry for the news.

Ask a GSI if they know you better than your professors. Make sure they will count though

^^ karens… babiblu is a Cal student asking about letters of rec for graduate applications…

Money money monaay…Monaaay. ;)

yeah seriously karen read the thread correctly
