So here's a question. I've got a lot a really great teachers to pick from when it comes to letters of recommendation. All of my teachers like me and appreciate my intellect, activities, and personality to varying degrees. I've already got a single rec that I know will be fantastic and is from my biology teacher (which is my area of interest) and an extra one coming from the head of proteomics research at the Medical College of WI. However, I am at a loss for my second required letter of recommendation. What do you guys look for in a teacher for letters of rec?

Hey,

Recommendations have also been an issue with me. I guess the most important thing is that they will write a letter that is well written and has only positive things. You should ask someone who knows you well enough to give examples of particular traits. Hopefully they will be able to pick out certain points about you that will make you stand out. So, I would say if there is a teacher writing 30 recs, then he may not be able to spend a lot of time on yours.
