awwwww keynesey i didn't mean to offend. maybe i could hav worded my post a little better considering it was on the bc admit forum but the facts still stand. and dont feel bad if bc doesnt stack up to harvard, your EA choice, because its obviously the most extreme example i could use. frankly, bc is quietly becoming a very popular selective school. about 5 years ago they took 16000 applications and now 24000? that growth is impressive.

asdfjkl87: i had the unique opportunity to actually spend a weekend in the fall up at bc and tufts, so i have some perspective. Tufts overall has a slight edge academically and in most departments, particularly the sciences, engineering, and economics and if youre pre-med. But i think the Humanities at BC are stronger and the professors of the humanities are better too. BC is also a little better for pre-law people. both schools are in semi-suburban locales within 5 minutes of the city, and the student bodies are similar; although i would say that tufts seemed to have a few more serious academics than bc, and bc had more of the fun loving preppy types. BC is a lot better if you're a sports fan. They just joined the ultracompetetive ACC while the jumbos of Tufts are in the NESCAC competing with the likes of Bowdoin and Trinity in D3 action. Also worthy of note is that Tufts has about half as any undergrads as bc, so its a little more intimate. so good luck, depends what youre looking for.
