ooh ok, thanks shinseki12 and congratulations to you too! :)

Stillll nothing in North NJ... I'm getting a little worried.

shinseki12 -- I am not sure about the financial aid info.. but I got the Honors Invite with my acceptance letter.

yay i got ACCEPTED today...
sry for those who didnt get accepted... :(

i'm going crazeeeeeeeee!!!! i haven't gotten anything in the mail for the past four days. come on BC!

Well, from people who received letters today and posted to this Thread the count is 6 acceptances and 1 waitlisted. I think numbers are better as the days progress. I'm still hoping that the letters that were sent out on Thursday were acceptances....Good luck to everyone still waiting.

thats definitely a positive, tribe girl.

bcgirl13- I got a big envelope. My parents came home before me and saw the package so they already knew the good news. The booklet says "Boston College Welcomes You" on the outside.

one of my friends (white catholic) got in with a 1230 and a good, not great gpa, but a ton of volunteer work and stuff... it just goes to show how much bc is looking for "well-rounded" people..... congrats to all the people that got in

Just picked up the mail at the post office. Nothing from BC in central Jersey :(

Thanks crazy242. I'm not sure yet whether or not I'm going to BC. I applied to a couple ivy's and jhu, which I find out from later this week. I have to say though, I've been much more impressed with the people on the BC forum than those on the ivy forums. Applicants here seem much more humble and down to earth than some of the ones from the other threads. While I feel that I have the grades, scores, and ec's for these schools, I don't like the pompous nature of some of the individuals who assume that they will get into the Harvard's or the Yale's just because they have perfect SAT scores. Posters on this forum not only have equally strong resumes, but are much more realistic about the whole applications process. BC just seems like it would be a more enjoyable experience than the ivys, which is why I'd seriously consider attending even if I get in to some of those other schools.

sweeeeeeeeeeeet just got my big envelope!

and unlike keynes, the people in this forum have convinced me not to go. although some of those lovely people didn't get in, so maybe bc does know what they're doing.

but it's cool to get in, as it was the closest thing i had to a reach.

Got it in NYC today.

1540/780/740/710

got in in NJ

1450/730/680/670

3.9 GPA

got it today!! i'm in northern NJ, and my fin aid award total is $41,425

1560/800/800/760

3.9 GPA

i got in!!!!! i cannot believe thisss.. i was crying hysterically , shakingg , everythingg.. good luck to all who haven't heard yet!! :)

ranked 12/412
1320/100.00 GPA/ excellent EC's, recs , all that

y00nsk, is that jus in scholarship?

sorry, forgot to mention. The scholarship total is 29,800 while the complete fin aid total is 41,425.

not bad..I got 7K/semester but i dont really get that other stuff...i hope my parents do lol..i have a feeling that if i go BC i m gonna b very poor

Got my packet today... looks like it went through hell and back, the bottom was half torn and the whole thing was bent and wrinkled. oh well guess i can't complain, since it WAS an acceptance into the honors program. A couple tears can be dealt with. So yeah... got into the honors program today wheeeeeeeee!

1500/790/760/730 4.0, 1/160ish

Something to note... The letter said that i was 1 of 2,250 out of 24,000 applicants accepted... BC has a less than 10% admin rate? jeez.. and I thought the ivies were bad
