Letters sent out march 17~!

jewls, where are you from?

Camus- I'm NH, too. Are you north, south, east, west?

I'm from NY... did you hear yet mik87 and where are you from?

no news yet, i'm from new jersey. still waiting.

Southern New Hampshire. You?

Southern as well..no news yet.

wow i cant believe there havemt been any acceptances yet...good luck to all of you still waiting!!

So I just got waitlisted. I'm kind of surprised because it has the highest acceptance rate of the schools I applied to and I've gotten in to the places I've heard back from. I'm thinking maybe they were suspicious about if I was really going to go there or if I applied as a safety. I don't think I'm going to stay on the waitlist because even though I did like BC, it doesn't have the major I want to study.
My Stats: sat-1510, sat2- 770,770,780. gpa- 4.1. Excellent essay, good recs, great ecs, national merit finalist, etc.
BC screwed up.

Yeah, a few people from my school applied to BC. Maybe only one or two though. I don't think I should say their names here, but if you really want to know you can e-mail me: JessWitaQ48@aol.com

PA, nothing, I go to Msgr. Bonner, one other guy applied, he got rejected today, so I'm actually hoping I don't get a letter tomorrow, lol. Argh, the suspense is killing me.

It seems like BC mailed rejection letters first..

yeah im kinda hoping to not get mail tomorrow either

Ok, here's my far fetched hypothesis... When we started this board, the initial prediction was that the FinAid Office said March 22. If they (being the FinAid office) sends out their offers in the acceptance package (and the March 22 date is accurate), then the acceptances would therefore be sent out tomorrow with the aid packages...I feel like I just got my self caught in a mess of logic :( .

I'm gonna go solve a Rubik's Cube now. ;)

Wow, I am also surprised that there are so many rejections, especially yours daria1000. I'm really sorry for the people who were rejected! Rejection really sucks, but I'm sure everyone here will have options at other great schools and trust me, Boston College isn't the only great school out there. I was told that along with having the highest number of applicants in history, the average SAT for BC's early action was like 1400, so admission was very competitive this year (the most competitive in history). Good luck to everyone that is still waiting!

Quick question, if Boston College admitted too many people last year, and they have to cut back this year, why would they still have a waiting list?

In case they underestimate the yeild (?)

ahhh ok my friend who applied to bc just told me she was rejected!! i didnt think anyone from nj had heard but apparently so!!! god i hope i dont get a letter anytime soon

so if you haven't got anything, is that a good thing?

if u read all the recent posts the only ppl that have heard have been rejected or waitlisted... wow i dont kno what id do if i got into bc, i didnt think i even had a chance

Rejected from michigan...
GPA 3.2
SAT 1410

Feels Great ... Hope BU likes me
