Letters

Any idea on when the letters are getting sent out?

All my letters have come in with the exception of GU. I’d like to make a decision and stop thinking about this for awhile!

The letters will be mailed in such a way that everyone will receive them by April 1. Uncommonly, you may get it one day before/after

I don’t think they time it. It is suppose to get to you ABOUT April 1st. So give or take 2 days or so (west coast versus east coast).

Got deferred EA. The letter came a good 2-3 days before.

I wish they would understand that rural Maine can take a longer time than going across the country…!!!

I’m in the deep south, pretty far from D.C., and I got my EA deferral letter on Dec. 13, I think. So they’ll get here on or before 4/1, probably.

^^Yes!!, in reference to the Maine poster.

I live on the coast and people in California were getting them before me!

did you send letter of intent after deferral…or did you just wait it out. just wondering thanks

patience- did you send a letter of intent or wait it out? if sent letter of intent what was it about/ when did you send it?

btw i dk about all this 10% acceptance rate after deferred. this is a direct quote off the undergrad admissions website

Typically, about 15 percent of the candidates deferred from Early Action are successful during the spring review.

r u sure…when they sent the defferal letter it said that 10% get admitted in april

i was deferred ea and wrote a letter of intent just explaining this new organization i was establishing and restating my love for georgetown …im not sure how much weight it will acutally hold but i figured it was worth a shot did you write a letter of intent?

^ I did that too. I think people who send such letters (with substantial information about their newest activities) look better than people who don’t.

it probably wont help much but then again im sure it didnt hurt

deferred ea from south florida and got it right on dec. 15th.
