Letting Go

Has anyone read this book? I think I'll need it.

I read it the weekend we dropped my S off at college. It was pretty good if I remember, I may be dragging it out again!

Should I save it for August? Don't know if I'll be able to read through my tears!!!!

What, we have to let go? They don't have parent dorms right next to the student dorms, so we can keep an eye on our darlings?? Oh, darn!

(I actually have dreams where I am a fellow student at my son's college. so far just the older son, but when my baby leaves home... oh, dear, I don't want to think about it...)

lol Susantm. Applicantmum. it depends. My husband browsed it the months before and felt it was helpful. I was only inclined to read it right after.

I'm saving my copy to read in August. But I've owned it for three years. I knew I would need it.

It's a wonderful book. Reading it now could help you avoid the strife that often happens when kids start displaying their independence as they prepare to leave the nest.

I agree with Northstarmom, read it now. The focus of the book is from the students senior year in HS through College.
