Letting Go

WUSTL has a seminar during Parent Orientation/Parent Visits titled "Letting Go", but I did not realize that the program's format comes from a book titled "Letting Go: A Parent's Guide to Understanding the College Years" by author Karen Levin Coburn.

Other CC forums have discussed this book, and I would really like a copy of it. Some schools provide complementary copies to parents, but I don't know if WU does so, or not. I've looked around on the Parent Orientation website, but haven't seen any info about the book's availability. Has anyone received this from the school?

When D was an incoming freshman two years ago, they had the same program. The author was an employee of the WashU and gave the presentation. I am not sure if she still works for the school or not. They did not give parents the book, though they did have it available for purchase in the bookstore.

Thanks, MP. I called the school and a representative also pointed me in the direction of the bookstore. So… I guess the bookstore it is. :)
