<p>Hey, this is from BB edition 2 (the newer one), Section 3, question 19.</p>
<p>For those of you who don't have the BB, I'll write the question below (slightly paraphrased, because there is a figure present; also, note that "sqrt" means "square root of"):</p>
<p>"A pyrmaid has altitude h, and square base sides of m. the four edges that meet at the uppermost vertex (the point/tip of the pyramid) also have length m. What is the value of h in terms of m?</p>
<p>Weird that this was mentioned, I just got done taking that test. The math sections on that test were the easiest I have ever seen, even though I made 3 careless mistakes!</p>
<p>@Kestrel Just imagine it as a 45-45-right triangle. We already know the side opposite to the right angle is m. Now to find h all you have to do is remember the formula to a 45-45 which is s,s,s sqrt 2. So just divide m by sqrt of 2 to get h.</p>
