Does anyone know if there is a strong LGBT community at Bryn Mawr College? Obviously I’m not expecting it to be as strong as somewhere like Smith, but if there is a strong presence of gay/bi/what-have-you women there, it would definitely be a plus for me.
Yes, BMC is very open and accepting of students across the LGBTQ and gender spectrum. I was in a heteronormative relationship while on campus, but I had many friends who were not. What I mean to say is, whatever you identify as, you will find a community at BMC.
The LGBT community at BMC is all too often wrapped up in campus politics, but it’s very easy/accepted to meet and date other girls, if that’s what you’re looking for.
