I'm interested in Georgetown's SFS School, but my biggest passion is human rights (LGBT, to be specific). My essays and EC activities definitely emphasize this. However, since Georgetown is a catholic school, could this affect my admissions decision? I have stats (Top 1%, 2300/34+, 3 decent subject test scores) within range for Georgetown. Am I being paranoid for no reason?

Don’t worry. Georgetown is very accepting of LGBT students. The GU Pride organization is very active with LGBT students and allies. The students and Jesuits are very accepting of all students regardless of sexual orientation.

Good luck to you!

Absolutely would not have a negative effect on admission decision.
