Looking for course recommendations to fulfill historical perspectives, literature, or arts/humanities. I'd refer courses with minimal writing involved since I have a very busy semester. "Easy" would be nice, but also courses that have great profs that are challenging in a positive way. Thank you!

Im looking for the same^ any recommendations???

My son has heard that the ONLINE version of the History of Rock and Roll is quite easy. I think this fulfills art.

Any others?

I’d also like to know

Hey guys!

If you’re not so hot in a subject or it’s not your favorite (like history for me) PSTL (Post Secondary Teaching and Learning) courses are pretty introductory and tend to be more relaxed. I took PSTL 1231 American History over May Session (3 week semester offered in May) and got an A. Not too boring as well. History courses under HIST tend to be much more intense (more essays). Check PSTL out for other lit and art classes too. Use CourseRank.com and RateMyProfessors.com to make sure your professor has good ratings or to see other comments students left about certain courses.

Though I haven’t taken it, History of Rock and Roll is supposed to be one of the most fun and easy courses offered at the U of M.

I took Creative Writing to meet my Lit requirement and loved it with all my heart (but I love to write). Just 3 portfolios of poetry, fiction, and nonfiction writing. No exams. Class meets only twice per week and it’s 4 credits : )

Thank you! That’s a great tip and I will definitely look into PSTL classes.
