Liberal Arts College with relatively stronger Economics major?

What are the Liberal Arts Colleges that are doing relatively well in Economics? I heard that Hamilton College provides quite good economics program.
I know that Liberal Arts Colleges are not ranked by the strengths of majors, but what are the colleges that rank relatively higher in Economics?

Thank you. ;)

No reply? …

So you’re set on a LAC?

Yes, I am set on LAC/

Not sure if this is the info you’re looking for, but Swarthmore produces more students who go onto receive PhDs in economics than any other LAC, so I’d imagine their undergraduate economics program is excellent.

Colby has a very good economics program.

Go to the econ department’s website and look at each professor’s background, research interests and the journals they publish in.

Depending on your stats, Middlebury College is supposed to be excellent for Econ…but it is very highly selective to get into.

Williams as well

How about the eco program at Hamilton College? I heard it has a lot pull in Wall Street.

You should do some research into Hamilton’s economics program. It’s unlikely that a Hamilton student is browsing this thread. Largely, however, all of the elite liberal arts colleges have strong economics programs. I take economics courses at two elite liberal arts colleges (in a consortium) and have found them very relevant and rigorous.
