Liberal arts colleges with good computer science program?

Hi! Does anyone have any idea of liberal arts colleges which have a really good computer science major?? Financial aid is an option to consider...

Also, what is the difference between a BS in Computer science and a BA in Computer science, apart from the credits needed...?

Wt about Colgate, Wooster or Brandeis ??

Those are all excellent schools though I don't know specifically about their CS programs. As far as the BA/BS question, it differs from school to school but in general a BA is broader with the flexibility to take classes in other areas of interest (creative writing, whatever). A BS offers fewer free electives and more of the course curriculum is connected to CS.

maybe some of the following:

Here is a list of top liberal arts colleges sorted by the proportion of bachelors graduates who majored in computer science or information technology. Based on 2004 IPEDS data.

college, SAT 75th percentile, total bachelors degrees, number of comp sci/info tech bachelors, proportion of comp sci/info tech graduates

Ok..thx for that list!

N e way which liberal arts colleges give LOADS of aid to Internationals(apart from middlebury and williams)
N i want names not just the top 20 stuff...

Harvey Mudd has an amazing computer science program (arguably the best among the LACs) and gives great international financial aid. My friend is a Chinese international student and she only has to pay $2,000 a year.

k...but hmc is extra competitive for aid...

One difference is that a BS is often times (although not always) an ABET-accredited degree, but a BA almost never is.

However, frankly, I think that accreditation for computer science is a pretty minor benefit, as the vast majority of CS employers don't care about accreditation. Some of the best computer science programs out there, such as the BA program in CS at Berkeley, are unaccredited, and employers don't seem to care.

wt bout CS in Brandeis???

If you want to study with the best of the best in computer science, then I'd definitely vote Carnegie Mellon. They are really leading the way in the field there. I did a pre college program (not in CS, but in musical theatre... but i saw what some of the CS kids were doing and it was intense/ amazing!) there last summer and Pittsburgh is a great place to be and the campus is great.
While their CS prog is in a diff school than their liberal arts program (H&SS), I believe that you can double major in two diff schools.

Colgate's CS program is strong...a lot of profs/electives

somthin wrong with the sats
