Liberal Arts + Engineering?

So i think i might be interested (but not 100% sure) in an engineering degree, thinking prolly ChemE at this point. However, i really like the smaller, LAC school feel, i really liked Holy Cross for instance but they don't have engineering and i dont think i can afford a 3-2 program. My stats and list of schools is below just to provide a basic outline. But yeah are there any others i should be looking at, preferably in the northeast (willing to look down to around maryland maybe?)

Rank is like top 12% of out 400ish with a very positive trend and a bunch of AP's and stuff.
SAT - M-750 CR-740 W-720 (2200)

Lehigh
Lafayette
Trinity (CT)
Tufts (monumental reach)
Villanova
Bucknell
Rochester
Boston University

Any others i should be looking at/ are any of these unrealistic?

List looks good, if you liked Holy Cross, then Lafayette, and Bucknell would be potential fits, Nova and Lehigh as well.

just be warned that most people that plan on going through with the 3-2 engineering program don’t usually end up going through with that plan

I like your list also. Best of luck!

Good list. Maybe Cooper Union? It’s free if you get in (and very selective) but it may be worth a look.

Put Washington and Lee on your list for sure. It’s an LAC that offers the major in-house, and a very prestigious school if I may add.

I am in the same boat. I am majoring in electrical engineering, but I prefer a smaller school. Technically, the only LACs to which I am applying are Lafayette College and Union College. Both schools have GREAT engineering programs. In addition, I am applying to Clarkson (tech school with a small school feel), RPI, Binghamton, Villanova, and Northeastern.

What about Harvard Mudd? VERY small school. Very science-engineery.

you mean Harvey Mudd

Union Colleg

^ Too funny! NOT a freudian slip, I assure you.

I mean Harvey Mudd, thank you!
