Is anyone as nervous as I am to major in History, English...or anything along those lines?!? I feel like I am interested in those types of majors but I am worried about graduating and not having anything to do career wise. I feel that majoring in a more "abstract" major
(exp. business, engineering...) would have way more opportunities.
Anyone else in the same boat as I am?

Oh man, don’t do a business major. You’ll hate every second you are in class. College is for learning about cool things, like mathematics, literature, the arts, science, and technology, not the principles of retailing.

Liberal arts majors are fine. You know, a lot of people get jobs without science/business/engineering degrees. It is just that you can’t expect them to fall in your lap–you’ll have to work harder to get them.

There are jobs out there for liberal arts majors. The key is to find internships and relevant experience to make yourself marketable. I have a few friends who just graduated in may with business degrees and have yet to even land an interview. If you do take the business route, go for something specialized such as accounting or finance.
