liberal arts schools

Any ideas? Looking for small (2000-3000 student) liberal arts school preferably in northeast. D has 3.65 UW in a hyper-competitive HS and 1300 SAT. Good science facilities are a big plus.

http://www.wesleyan.edu/sciences/sciencefacts.html

Not quite in the northeast, but look at Allegheny College. It has around 2000 students and excellent science facilities. Stats would be a match, assuming the SAT does not include the writing score.

College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA (about 45 minutes out of Boston). Her GPA is a bit on the low end, but her scores are a good match.

Bucknell
Clark (offers a BA/MA program in the sciences with the 5th year tuition-free)
Colgate
Franklin & Marshall
Lafayette
Middlebury (reach)
Union
Vassar (slight reach)

Several of the single-sex schools meet her criteria.

Barnard
Mount Holyoke
Smith
Wellesley

There are other schools that meet the size requirement, but I’m not familiar with their science programs.

Dickinson
Gettysburg
Hobart & William Smith
Muhlenberg
Skidmore
St. Lawrence
Susquehanna
Trinity

Brandeis and Lehigh are smallish universities that might be worth a look.

Thanks for the suggestions. More are welcome.

1300 SAT? Is that a typo?

That is Math and CR…1900 for 3 parts.

Okay–I was wondering if they changed the scoring on us again!

Wheaton College (MA)
Simmons College (MA) Women
Drew University (NJ)
Alfred University (NY) Regional University, 2,300 students
Ithaca College (NY) Regional University (might be too large)
Connecticut College (CT)
Ursinus College ¶

How about Swarthmore as a semi-reach? I don’t know how Goucher is in sciences, but it’s a good liberal arts college.

Sorry, but with those stats, Swarthmore is a high reach.

lol, Swarthmore a “semi-reach.” Swarthmore is a reach for everyone, and an incredibly long shot for the OP’s daughter, judging by numbers alone.

I agree, we weren’t considering Swarthmore. Its a great school, but seems out of reach for my D.

Hmm… I thought Juniata ¶ was big on the sciences.
