Hi, everyone! I have a very general question about choosing a major at Tufts University. I am not a science person at all, but I know that Tufts is big in science and medicine. I still like Tufts because of its environment and I really want to go there. I am wondering if Tufts has strong programs as well in the liberal arts/humanities area, other than IR, such as history, psychology, literature, etc.? Is Tufts the school for me?

Your opinion is very much appreciated :) Thank you!

My son is a freshman at Tufts, and has no interest in the sciences. He is finding plenty of interesting classes in liberal arts fields, as well as lots of friends with similar interests.

My S1 is a very happy freshman there right now. Not into Sciences at all. Liberal Arts all the way. Loves it! :)

PS: We had also looked at URochester and Carnegie Mellon and we felt those two were more “Science-y” than Tufts.

Great! This is exactly what I am looking for! Thank you for the insights!

English, Psychology, History, Philosophy, Foreign Languages, and Economics are all really good.
