Guys, I found liberal arts education very good. Does colleges and university like MIT like liberal arts or is their education liberal arts.
I liked Liberal arts because i can choose from wide range of subject take them...in different semester...

I wouldn’t call MIT a liberal arts university, but there is certainly flexibility in most majors to take additional classes that interest you.

Every MIT student is required to take eight classes in the humanities, arts, and social sciences, which most people distribute evenly among their eight semesters. Many people turn some of those humanities classes into a minor or a second major, as even the most requirement-heavy majors (chemical engineering and aerospace engineering) allow some room for electives in any department.

In addition, MIT does not cap the number of classes a student may take in a semester, so if you choose to take more than four classes (the typical schedule), you can take as many electives as you want at no extra cost.
