Liberal Arts vs. Regular College

I'm only really interested in Amherst as a liberal arts school, but I'm put off by the name "liberal arts". I intend to study Pre-Med. Can someone please enlighten me?

I guess you should look it up in the dictionary if you don’t understand that sciences are part of the liberal arts, as is mathematics.

Pre-med can be done at many colleges, including “liberal arts colleges”. Since pre-med course work is just a set of courses that can be done alongside any major, and those courses are part of typical liberal arts offerings (biology, chemistry, physics, math, English, psychology), “liberal arts colleges” offer them.
