<p>I agree with your post except for this part. Noisy is behavioral; racist is ideological. They are wholly separate constructs, and one has no bearing on the other. </p>
<p>And to answer the OP’s question - none whatsoever that I have noticed, and we got two very conservative kids into the top schools. They never hid what they believed from anyone. However, we are just one data point, of course. </p>

<p>^^ You are welcome. The key is to be mature and clear about what you believe. Just do not sound like a TV commercial for a political party. And if questioned, answer with logic, facts and a consistent, definable foundational philosophy. 90% of kids cannot do that and fall apart when pushed to explain a position. Why would a college not want a kid like that who is clearly bound to excel?</p>

<p>While you are correct in general political terms, when it comes to Israeli / Palestinian politics on US college campuses, the noisiest voices are typically the most racist ones, and tend to drown out (probably intentionally) others who are not racist.</p>
