Liberal Essay for Catholic College?

Hey, everyone, I recently received the "Your Choice" (free, streamlined) app from Fordham and I'm pretty sure I'm going to apply there. The only problem is, the essay that I used for the Common App (Discuss Issue) deals with sexuality and lgbt rights and I'm not sure that that essay would be a very good one to send to a Jesuit, Catholic university. The essay fit perfectly for the majority of schools I applied to, but this is the only school I think it might hurt me. I have SAT/ACT scores well above their average/media (740 CR, 700 M, 710 W; 34 ACT). My question is, with everything else perfect, will they feel obligated to deny me based on my essay since it is counter to their beliefs?

I don’t think it will affect your chances.

I would write a different essay.

I’ve looked into Fordham, and it actually seems pretty liberal, which makes sense given that it’s in NYC and has a campus at Lincoln Center. I think it’s Jesuit the way Georgetown is–the style of education and stress on community service.

It actually seems pretty supportive of LGBT students:
