Liberal Lac?

Hey guys,

Does any one know of any very very liberal (politically liberal, that is) LACs out there? I'm not looking for the typical response (Oberlin, Grinnell, etc.) but rather schools that are more obscure. THANKS!

Antioch College
Bard College
Bates College
Bowdoin College
Carleton College
Colorado College
Connecticut College
Evergreen State College
Grinnell College
Hampshire College
Harvey Mudd College
Haverford College
Hendrix College
Kenyon College
Lewis & Clark College
Macalester College
Middlebury College
Oberlin College
Pitzer College
Pomona College
Reed College
Sarah Lawrence College
Swarthmore College
Vassar College
Wesleyan University

Hendrix is more apathetic, left of middle like most colleges in the US only because of its location in small town Arkansas.

Bard and Reed are the most liberal, as far as I know.

Hampshire is pretty crazy liberal.

So is Wesleyan.

Warren Wilson in NC
Prescott in AZ

Occidental in LA, at least multi/culti-wise.

Bard, Warren Wilson, and Guilford are all extremely liberal.

Another great option: UNC Asheville. It's in a really eclectic little mountain city.

add skidmore and earlham to the list too

Williams is liberal, though most outside the loop don't think so.

Not really.....super preppy and preps are not your typical liberal!

Are you there? My S is there and not of his friends are super preppy at all. They are all quite liberal, as he is.

Goucher is another one that hasn't been mentioned.

My niece is there and says it is way too preppy, for her, and I frankly would not include it w/these other schools. Just my opinion.

Not my son's experience at all. And all the kids I saw in the entry, long-haired hippie types, scruffy, weird music. The typical liberal college frosh. DS has scruffy beard and dems was way too centrist for him.

New College of Florida!

Ditto New College of Florida!

What does "liberal" mean? As in college guide definition? Is liberal the opposite of preppy?

Marlboro and Bennington, maybe Beloit
